Naperville North (Illinois) senior Judy Pendergast was fourth in the Foot Locker girls national final, covering the 5-kilometer course at Balboa Park in San Diego in 17:20. Pendergast placed eighth at Nike Cross Nationals for the lowest combined total from both meets, twice earning All-America honors.
